Ekaterinburg Non-Ferrous Processing Plant JSC is planning to become the largest domestic manufacturer and supplier of high-precision products made of precious metals and other materials for medical industry. The main products are cathodes, anodes and other products for pacemakers. The plant has already produced the pilot batches of cathodes for all the major Russian medical devices manufacturers and plans to begin industrial-scale shipments by the beginning of 2019.

In 2018, PLAURUM Group of companies started to actively develop one of the most promising areas of business – supplies of precious metals products for international healthcare industry. The participation of the Group's core enterprise Ekaterinburg Non-Ferrous Metals Processing Plant JSC in the whole range of large-scale industry events in Russia and abroad was the first step to achieve this goal.

Ekaterinburg Non-Ferrous Metals Processing Plant JSC (company of PLAURUM Group of Companies) has established the new structural unit, Science and Technology Department. Its tasks include the development of plant production, ensuring the release of new types of products, further development of the raw materials processing and research work.

Our company resumes the equipment upgrading process. Soon the drawing production facilities of EZOCM will be equipped with the newest 19-fold drawing machine by German company Schmidt for wire production – thermocouple wire and for catalyst gauzes production. 

Exports expansion and expansion to new international markets are key elements of development strategy of EZOCM and PLAURUM group. The Company has begun the year 2018 with participation in international industry venues of which Sudan International Mining Forum & Exhibition (SIMFE) 2018 business forum and exhibition has been the largest. The exhibition was held in Sudan (city of Khartoum) from March 26 to March 28, 2018. PLAURUM group was represented by an individual exhibition booth.

Ekaterinburg, December 26, 2017. Alexander Andreev was appointed the new General Director of Ekaterinburg Non-Ferrous Processing Plant (the base enterprise of the international group of PLAURUM companies). Prior to that, he held the post of Deputy General Director on Commerce of EZOCM.

Ekaterinburg Non-Ferrous Metals Processing Plant, the key enterprise of the international PLAURUM Group is strengthening its ties with global consumers of hi-tech products made from modern materials. At the beginning of September, QSA Global, an American corporation engaged in purchasing iridium products from EZOCM, classified the plant as an official «A»-class supplier and granted the corresponding status in accordance with the results of the quality inspection of the aforementioned products.

Russian-based producers of precious metals have new opportunities for the quality-control testing of their analytical laboratories. Now interlaboratory comparison, for which all laboratories must be accredited on regular basis, can be performed in Russia and not just abroad. The only accredited provider of interlaboratory comparison in Russia is Ekaterinburg Non-Ferrous Metals Processing Plant (part of the PLAURUM International Group).

The 11th session of the Conference on nitrogen acid and nitrates production took place on 25-27 April, 2017 in Hangzhou (Zhejiang province).

Plaurum group presented by Alexey Shchukin, Plaurum Representative in China, and Alexander Shtyrlov, EZOCM Production Director, has made presentation on Plaurum catalytic systems, their benefits and features. The report was presented in Chinese and made a good impression on the participants. Many questions were asked on the use of PdW-5 alloy in the production of catchment gauzes. During the conference EZOCM has received requests on catalytic systems quotations from Chinese nitrogen acid manufacturers.
